William John Loose
February 7, 1929   -   December 02 , 2003

Obituary posted by : Robert J Loose ,  Son
Person Description
William John Loose, age 74, of Alexandria, passed away quietly in his sleep and was found in his home on Saturday, December 6, 2003. He was one of the truly “nice guys”.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who believed in nature and God. He was a good man who people could confide in and was a support to many of the people he came into contact with. Early in his career, he worked for Sport Service which took him to many of the baseball stadiums like the Nicollet Park in Minneapolis. He ran concessions and advertising for the Ice Follies and Aqua Follies in Minneapolis and managed the old Minneapolis Arena. He worked for Standard Cigar, PMI, and Hillman and was self-employed at the time of his death. Recently, he did volunteer work with inmates with alcohol abuse and worked with the AA community.

His children and grandchildren remember all he taught them on the ways of nature (including hunting and fishing), how to be kind to people and to let people live their lives in their own way. He accepted many people into his family circle and, over the years, was a positive influence to many troubled kids. His home on Lake Cowdrey was always a refuge for people to relax, think and commute with nature. He will be missed by all who knew him.
